Cornerstone Community Church Ministries

FinishStrong Men's Ministry
The Men's Ministry seeks to aid in the development of mature Christian men by "reaching out" (helping unbelievers find salvation in Christ) and "reaching in" (helping believers grow in their relationship to God and others). Men's ministry committee members plan, organize and oversee all ministry activities, including monthly breakfasts, special events and retreats.

Leader: Sam Paternite

Woman 2 Woman Ministry
The Woman 2 Woman Ministry exists to reach out to unchurched women and support Christian women by providing periodic fellowships, events and retreats. These activities are designed to facilitate the development of relationships and the discussion of biblical topics and contemporary issues of importance to women. A committee is responsible for planning and managing the activities.

Connections Ministry
The Connections Ministry seeks to host a wide variety of events, both social and spiritual in nature, where believers can interact and build each other up, and seekers can be introduced to the church body and the gospel. We seek to not only present the gospel, but to display it in Christian fellowship that offers a distinct contrast to the secular world. The kind of events the Connections Ministry organizes focus on activities where maximum personal interaction is encouraged and facilitated.

Leader: Tim Nichols

Motherhood Connection
Motherhood Connection is a monthly opportunity for moms to connect with each other. It is a program designed for mothers of young children (between the ages of birth to kindergarten) and for expectant mothers. While these women are different in many ways, they are all in the same stage of life, with similar needs. The Motherhood Connection program includes monthly group meetings with instruction from a "seasoned" mother relating to womanhood, marriage, child-rearing and the home, taught from a biblical perspective. Small discussion groups provide for honest sharing, deepening friendships, and spiritual enrichment. A craft activity time promotes a sense of accomplishment through creative expression. Kids’ Connection, the coordinating children’s program, is provided for infants through those in kindergarten. It is designed to give loving, safe and quality care to your child, as well as exciting age – appropriate activities while you attend the mothers’ meeting.

Leader: Betsy Culp

Quest Ministry
The Quest Ministry seeks to host events that cater to those who enjoy the outdoors, adventure, and physical activity. The goal is to build and strengthen relationships in a fun and healthy way and to build bridges to those who so not yet know Jesus as their Savior.

Leader: Kathie Smith

Small Groups
The Small Group Ministry seeks to maintain a "discipleship flow" from unbeliever to mature believer through the use of various types of small group studies. Small groups provide the most conducive atmosphere for disciplemaking because they provide diversity, accountability and intimacy of relationships. Qualified leaders do more than teach a study; they provide an atmosphere of love and "positive peer pressure" where it becomes the "in" thing to obey the teachings of Jesus. Emphasis is placed on putting biblical truth into practice.

Leader: Pastor Ed Fedor

Worship Teams
Those gifted with vocal and/or instrumental skills minister in our Worship Services, encouraging and exhorting those present to take an active part in the glorious celebration of true worship of God. The worship group leads congregational singing and solos are often used to offer up our sacrifice of worship to the Lord. The desire of the music ministry is to maintain a high standard of quality in their service for the Lord.

Leaders: Lauri Bucci, Jesse Kapel

Sound, Multimedia, Technical Ministries
The Sound and Technical Ministry Teams exist for one purpose: To invest ourselves in a ministry that will directly support and reinforce anything and everything that goes forth from Cornerstone Community Church that requires the support of lighting, audio or any other form of technical or stage support, in a manner that is pleasing to God, and will provide for a better reception and understanding by all those who are touched by our efforts.

Leaders: Ted Gilchrist, Randy Wheatley

Youth Ministry
This ministry seeks to meet the needs of junior and senior high school students by helping them to get in touch with Jesus Christ, with each other, with themselves and with their world (family, school, authority, etc.). This is accomplished through activities designed to provide wholesome fun and a Christian witness. There is also a Sunday class for junior highers. One with a passion and love for youth might find that this is the ministry for them.

Leader: Pastor Marty Coyne

Preschool Ministry
The Preschool ministry provides quality childcare for children from birth through kindergarten so that their parents can receive the maximum benefit from the Worship Service. The classes are divided according to age: nursery, toddlers and 4-K. The toddlers and 4-K receive Bible lesson along with other fun, constructive activities. Teachers seek to teach their classes about Jesus through their lessons and by the loving care they provide.

Leader: Mary Winne

Junior Church
The Junior Church ministry seeks to provide an environment in which the Word of God is presented in a consistent and reliable manner to children in grades 1-6. Each Sunday morning, while adults attend Worship Service, a team of teachers provides biblical teaching and modeling for children in a way that communicates to their age levels. The goal is to help bring about their personal salvation and to encourage them to love and follow God through Jesus Christ.

Leader: Mary Winne

Ushers and Greeters
Ushers and Greeters perform a vital function during our worship services. Because they are often the first points of contact for vistors, how well an usher or greeter performs his or her ministry may have an important impact on their impressions of our church and whether they decide to return. In addition, their service in welcoming and making the congregation feel comfortable is an act of hospitality that our Lord finds commendable.

Leader: Jim Piscioneri

Missions Team
This team is responsible for overseeing our involvement with world missions. It may require significant research and administrative skills. The team is responsible for writing and implementing a missions policy, maintaining contact with missionaries, spreading a vision for world missions in the church, and educating the congregation on the subject. They should provide ways for the church body to get involved in the job of world evangelization.

Leaders: Joe Foell, Taryl Jasper
