Global Missions
Cornerstone Community Church maintains spiritual and financial relationships with a number of different missionaries and missionary organizations for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism, disciple making, church planting, church development, and the meeting of human needs.

Our Goal
Our goal is to recruit, train, send out and support both short-term and full-time missionaries. Although we strive to support ministry opportunities covering a broad range of geographical areas, we specifically desire for our congregation to become closely involved with the individual missionaries and agencies that we financially support. We want to put feet to our faith and come alongside these servants to reach the lost together for Christ.

Supported Ministries
The following are a list of global and local ministries that we currently support with our prayers and finances.

Marty and Mimi Coyne are missionaries called to the country of Romania. Although yearning to return to Romania, they are currently serving an extended period back home in the USA where Marty serves as the Youth Pastor at Cornerstone.

Brian and Sarah Bennetch serve in Belgium with the EFCA International Mission.

Jim and Kay Panaggio serve in Lima Peru with the EFCA International Mission where Jim serves as the country leader for the EFCA missionary team.

Amber Morris is serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators in mainland Southeast Asia.

Mike and Jenny Burtnett are also serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Mike is a Short-term Trip Director focused on young people and Jenny is a graphic designer. They're based in Florida.

Marian Pledger faithfully serves the Lord working in the Cleveland area for Christian Family Outreach.

John Sivillo is a member of the Cornerstone family who faithfully brings the Word of God to inmates in North East Ohio through his Redeeming Grace Prison Ministry.

Alternaterm is a local pregnancy counseling ministry.

The City Mission is a ministry that reaches people in our local Cleveland area.

WCRF is a radio station that broadcasts Christian programming through the Cleveland area.

Short-term Opportunities
We regularly sponsor short-term missions opportunities for individuals as well as assist those members of Cornerstone who seek opportunities to involve themselves in God's work of missions.

In recent years, we have sent or partnered with short term teams or individuals to Brussels Belgium, Lima Peru, Timisoara Romania, Manila Philippines, Guatemala, and on a traveling ministry through out Western Europe.

For the year 2006, we are excited about short-term teams going to minister at JAARS (part of Wycliffe Bible Translators) in Waxhaw North Carolina, at Child Evangelism Fellowship in Warrenton MO, and teams that will help with Hurricane Katrina cleanup in Covington, Louisiana.
